The game is completable but still in rough shape as I'm building the files 2 hours before the deadline! I will return to this project after the voting period out of fairness for the spirit of the jam.

Once upon the time the Grumpus spread his magic around the world. The digital age destroyed him. Now you are on a hunt for that old magic. You must eat the Grumpus.

Explore randomly generated caves.

Avoid naughty spiders.

Don't fall in pits.

Definitely do not get eaten by the Grumpus.

Three endings, one is kind of hidden.

INSTRUCTIONS: Please read if you're unfamiliar with Hunt the Wumpus

wasd = move

space = pull out/stow map 

HOLD RIGHT MOUSE = draw slingshot

Left Mouse while slingshot is drawn = fire slingshot

The map is an 8x6 grid made up of rooms and tunnels. Rooms have 4 exits. Tunnels are one way. Rooms connected via tunnels are considered adjacent. A room may connect into itself via a tunnel. The map loops east-to-west, north to south.

A room can be empty, contain a hazard, or contain a warning. Hazards are

Spiders: These guys move you to a random room, including a room with another hazard. They relocate but your map doesn't update so be careful.

Pits: Walk into a pit and your dead. On assist mode you have one magic rope that will return you to the starting room.

Grumpus: You're dinner for the Grumpus. 

Rooms adjacent to hazards contain a warning: webs for spiders, whirlwinds for pits, and Grumpus spoor. Use the warnings to navigate and make educated guesses to avoid hazards. 

Your objective is to shoot the Grumpus from one room away. Draw your slingshot and fire at the exit you think the Grumpus is hiding in. You only have one shot (three in assist mode). 

Because the magic sling ricochets wildly, you cannot fire in tunnels. You can only draw the slingshot in a room.

CAREFUL: Shooting into a tunnel that loops back into the room you're in will kill you instead!
